A Cup of Glee - Weekly Newsletter - Tea Bread makes the Perfect Gift

Welcome to the Blog for Fancy That!
We happily call our blog “A Cup of Glee.”
Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy!

The next time you are about to buy a gift for someone, I think you should think "tea bread". That's right, you heard me correctly: tea bread. It really is the perfect gift (in my humble opinion :)) for just about any occasion! It makes a great birthday gift, thank you gift, sympathy gift, hostess gift, just because gift, etc.

Here are some of my fave places to order tea bread online: The Basket Case (unsettling name, great products!). Check out their tea loaf gift set by Rowena of lemon and an almond pound cake with delicious lemon curd sauce! YUM. A brilliant gift for any occasion (not just bereavement, as they have it shown on their site). And, how happy is the packaging?!

Another site that looks promising, although I haven't tried them personally, is Wolferman's. They let you create your own gift box of tea breads, and they've got some delicious flavors to choose from. The best part is that you can also add delicious toppings to your order, such as a jar of "triple fruit spread", "apple 'n spice conserve" or the unusual-but-fabulous-sounding: "banana-peanut butter" (plus many other choices)!

Finally, I couldn't talk about tea bread without directing you to one of my fave places from which to order: The Swiss Colony. They have an adorable gift set of tea breads that comes with assorted spreads. Each loaf is tied with a bow and rests on a white paper doily. I'm a sucker for doilies, so it's no wonder that I love this gift so much (doilies make everything look better, don't they?) I send this gift to family and friends when ever there is an occasion to do so, and sometimes even if there is no occasion. I also frequently buy it for myself :)

If you've got a favorite place to order tea bread, or a special tea bread recipe, let us know. We'd love to hear from you!

Until my next post, please remember:
