Friends and family tease me about being obsessed with details. Frankly, I don't mind this critism. I take it as a compliment because I feel it's the little touches here and there that add up to make a fabulous event. For example, at my wedding reception (an afternoon tea!), I requested the butter pats be heart-shaped. The presentation came out wonderuflly - each butter heart rested delicately on a spinach leaf and was served to each guest on a saucer. It was gorgeous! I've been known to serve ice cubes in shapes that coordinate with my summer party theme and to pass on a function room because I didn't like the looks of the ceiling. Ok, so maybe I am obsessed with details, but why shouldn't I be? Anything worth doing is worth doing right, right? Besides, it's my obsession with details that's lead me to some fun and unique items that I'm about to share with you:
Customizable Kleenex Boxes: I'm sure you already know that you can design your own kleenex box, and yes the boxes cost more than if you just grab one off the shelf at the grocery store, but think of how cute a baby themed box would be sitting in the powder room where the baby shower is being held? I'm sure you could think of many creative applications. Give it some thought :) Wouldn't a customized box make a cute get-well gift along with a can of chicken soup for a close friend?
Custom Labels on Heinz Mini Ketchup and Mustard Bottles: These are so adorable! (I love mini anything!) Can't you just see these at your next BBQ? How about at your son or daughter's graduation party cook-out?
Colored Trash Bags: I think these are great! (quit laughing at me :)) How about red and green trash bags at Christmas to stylishly collect all of the packaging and gift wrap? I could definitely see using blue for a boy's baby shower (wish they made pink!)
Pink Polka Dot Garbage Bags: How awesome are these?!?! Pink with white dots as pictured below are not for sale, but other cool designs, such as pink with gold dots, are available at the artist's web site: www.anycoloryoulike.biz/
I think that's all for now folks. If you think of any unique products that you'd like to share, by all means, don't keep it a secret! email me your ideas
