In the Northern Hemisphere, it is winter. For many of us, it has been a very cold, very icy, and very long winter. This week, we would like to help you break your winter doldrums with a few pictures of the gardens inspired and built by Edith Wharton, the author of international acclaim. The pictures are recent pictures of her gardens, which have been meticulously restored and maintained by the group of fine ladies and gentlemen who are operating her mansion known as The Mount, located in Lenox, Massachusetts.
