Fancy That's New Sign

We've finally completed the design for our exterior sign! whadaya think?
a friend pointed out that it's the color of tea (or honey, come to think of it) - isn't that a nice coincidence? it makes me think of caramel - YuM :)

In Memory of my Beautiful Mother

“I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: “there, she is gone!”

“Gone where?”

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear the load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:

“Here she comes!”

Notification of an Open House

We at Fancy That! Unique Party Rentals are putting the finishing touches on the new Showroom and Shoppe and are looking forward to our first Open House. The Open House will feature a harpist, tea tasting buffet, and your ability to look over the items Fancy That! has available to rent. Be our Guest at our first Open House!

Our Open House date is still in the planning but will be in late Spring 2010. If you would like to be notified of the date, for planning purposes, please do contact us. We will put you on our "first contact" list and notify you once the date has been set. The pleasure of your company will be our pleasure!

Adorable! Fancy That adds Personal Tea Pots to the Simplicity Line

We are adding to the Simplicity Line of items for rent! When we add such an adorable item, we just have to take a moment and blog about it so you all can share in the fun! The "personal tea pot" pictured below (green color in the foreground of the picture) is 16 ounces and perfect forjust two cups of tea. (We will explain all of the cups-to-ounces-to-pots issue in a near future post!) Of course, a larger, more "standard" tea pot is in the foreground to the right - covered in those lovely pink roses.

So that the budget stays friendly and manageable for you, Fancy That! is renting the adorable personal tea pots at a Simplicity Pricing - affordable and yet accessible! The color selection is shown in the picture below. In most cases, please allow us to select your assortment. This picture shows how well the Simplicity Tea Pots coordinate with the Simplicity Tea Cups and Saucers which are also pictured. Ah, a match made perfetly for tea....for two...or more!
